The industry in Australia where salaries are on the rise

While the average salary in Australia dropped 3.2 per cent over the last year (to June), several industries have seen an increase in their average pay packets.

 

The insurance and superannuation industry saw the biggest growth, with the average salary increasing by six per cent to $81,049.

Medicare is the scheme that gives Australian residents access to health care. To help fund the scheme, most taxpayers pay a Medicare levy of 2.0% of their taxable income.
